Alex Rispal is an Andorran artist living in Madrid, whose photographic work centers on experimenting with objects, light, and photosensitive materials.

He began studying photography at the Institut d’Estudis Fotogràfics of Catalonia in 2014 and completed his postgraduate course in image creation and reflection in 2019. He currently works in his laboratory in Carabanchel, Madrid, where he focuses on experimentation and exploration.

His experimental work blends painting and analogue photography with cameraless techniques such as chemigrams, photograms, surfaces emulsions, and lumen prints.

Symbolism and abstraction frequently appear in his projects, often using natural elements as metaphors for the body, mysterious bucolic landscapes, and visceral portraits, offering a contemporary take on early photographic techniques. His work always starts from the distortion of reality.
